    POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of Technology is responsible for the coordination of technological applications in the administrative operations of the district and for the development, implementation and evaluation of a long range plan for the applications of computers and technology in all district programs, instructional and administrative.
    JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Minimum of an Bachelor’s Degree in computer related field; Master’s Degree preferred
    • Minimum of five (5) years of direct experience in related technical field, preferred
    • Effective management and supervision techniques
    • Two (2) to five (5) years management experience, preferred
    • Organization, planning, and efficient execution of responsibilities, including department budget and other reporting requirements
    • Experience with web-based student information system (PowerSchool), preferred
    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: The nature of responsibilities listed is a reflection of the job description
    • Plan, implement and maintain system configuration, LAN, WAN and distance learning operations
    • Provide network administration and technical support for the voice, video and data networks
    • Provide maintenance for all computer hardware or coordinate for these services with outside sources
    • Provide both departmental and building technology team members with training in technical support and troubleshooting
    • Develop an annual evaluation of the district technology programs and make recommendations for system improvements including hardware and software purchases to the Superintendent of Schools
    • Coordinate the staff development program in technology
    • Maintain an inventory of all hardware and software for instructional and administrative application
    • Provide leadership and direction with regard to the integration of technology in the classrooms
    • Direct the software acquisition process for all buildings within the district
    • Collaborate with District staff to complete grant-writing efforts and federally funded opportunities such as Universal Service Funds, Technology Literacy grants, local technology initiatives, etc.
    • Supervise activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities and directing the work of subordinate employees
    • May occasionally perform any task assigned to subordinate staff
    • MSBO Certification - Chief Technology Officer (CTO), preferred
    • Perform additional duties as delegated by the Superintendent of Schools
    GENERAL INFORMATION:
    Salary: $88,000-92,000, depending upon experience
    Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance
    Work Year: 52 Weeks
